Unboxing

We highly recommend unboxing your artwork within ten days of receipt. Leaving in the box or crate for an extended period, especially in humid environments, can lead to mold on the fibers, causing irreversible damage. Additionally, the sooner you unbox the artwork, the easier it will be to style the fibers minimizing entanglement and any marks from packing materials.

Care

MINIMUM INSTALLATION HEIGHT RECOMENDATION

To ensure your installation remains clean and free from dust and contact with cleaning products and devices, it is recommended to install the piece at a minimum height of 4 inches above the floor. This height not only protects the item but also promotes easier maintenance and longevity.

FOR INDOOR DISPLAY ONLY

Our pieces are carefully designed using materials meant exclusively for indoor use. For optimal longevity please place them in a well-ventilated space, protected from rain, humidity, fumes, direct sunlight, and strong winds. Following these guidelines will help preserve the quality and appearance of your items over time.

AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND HEAT EXPOSURE

Our high-quality fibers are crafted for strength and durability, providing lasting performance. It's essential to remember that, like any natural fabric, extended exposure to sunlight can change the color and tone of the threads. To preserve the vibrancy of your piece, we suggest avoiding direct sunlight, and away from intense heat sources such as candles, fireplaces, and halogen light fixtures.

MINIMIZE CONSTANT CONTACT

We all love the sensorial nature of fiber art but to preserve the beauty of the piece, it's essential to minimize contact with it, as constant interaction can lead to design alterations, fiber entanglement, or even permanent stains. If the artwork is accessible, consider placing a "do not touch sign nearby, especially in public high traffic spaces like hotels. This will help ensure that the intricate details and craftsmanship of the piece remain intact for everyone enjoy.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS

Proper art display requires maintaining a stable environment with a temperature range of 60°F to 75°F and relative humidity levels between 40% and 55%. These conditions are essential for preserving material stability, as rapid fluctuations of temperature and moisture can cause fibers to expand and contract. This may lead to warping, breakage, degradation, and even the reactivation of dyes, which can result in pigment bleeding. Ensure your art is protected by adhering to these guidelines for optimal preservation.

Styling & Maintenance

COMBING & POLISIH

To avoid entanglements and folding of the fibers, polishing the strands with the included wide-tooth comb or small brush helps prevent entanglements and folding of the fibers. Brush the fibers starting from the bottom up. This simple practice not only maintains the appearance of your piece but also offers a delightful, relaxing, and enjoyable sensory experience.

CLEANING

Clean the dust: Clean the art as needed by carefully using a Swiffer duster, or lint roller. A battery-operated vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle in low suction mode can also be used for the frames avoiding direct contact with the strands.

Straighten the strands: Use a steamer in combination with a wide-tooth comb or brush to style the fibers, ensuring they fall straight into place. Keep in mind that fibers may stretch during transit, so don’t hesitate to trim any uneven areas with sharp scissors if needed.

Avoid getting the art wet: Please ensure that our art pieces remain dry at all times. Contact with liquids can significantly alter their composition and design, leading to stains and potential mold growth. Properly caring and handling of your artwork will help preserve its beauty and integrity.
